By letting our light shine, we invite others to do the same; That is the job of a facilitator. At Ecstatic Dance there is usually one or several facilitators who share the different tasks involved in a session: its opening, defining its limits and guidelines, facilitating the warm-up, playing the music, sharing the connection with and between the group, closing the session and taking care of all the small details so that the participants can enjoy a positive experience.
Facilitating Ecstatic Dance is where I have found the greatest creative freedom, because I do not have to box myself into any specific music style and, therefore, I can open up all my musical expertise to the participants’ enjoyement. I always take back home a deep feeling of connection and gratitude.
I’m a music lover. I love watching people dancing and connecting in the same rhythm. Since I was 16 years old I have been behind the Dj booth trying to guess how a Dj could create a common vibration making everyone dance together, and I understood that the dj is the shaman of Antiquity.
I produced soundtracks for several documentaries, elevating dance and theatre performances. Ecstatic Dance called me back to the dance floor. First as an addicted dancer, then as a DJ in Menorca and later Ibiza
Ecstatic Dance is the great gift of flowing in Life’s dance letting go the mind and enjoying the freedom of our whole being becoming the paintbrush that the spirit guides across the magical canvas of our soul.
I have always been surprised by the connection between the body and everything that surrounds us, and how the senses create the bridge that links universes. Sound joureys or Sound baths are the perfect closing for an Ecstatic dance session.
